The Vairakkann family arrived at Joyner Lake in a whirlwind of energy and made it all look effortless. They told us they wanted something real, not posed. So we followed them.

Three generations, one afternoon. Grandparents had flown in from Gujarat especially for this session — and the moment the grandmother held her youngest grandchild up to the light, we knew we were witnessing something profound.
Maureen's family brought so much colour and warmth to beach that afternoon. The children ran ahead while the elders walked slowly, hand in hand. We stayed close to both.
