Graduations

Graduation day is many things at once — the end of something enormous and the beginning of something unknown. It is the photograph your parents will frame. The memory you will return to on hard days. The proof that you did it.

We set up our graduation mini sessions around Raleigh campus as crossed the stage, and spent the afternoon with twelve incredible graduates — each one with their own story, their own journey, and their own particular way of smiling when they realised it was finally over. In the best possible way.

Irvine was dressed in golden afternoon light when Uma's family gathered to celebrate something years in the making. There is a particular kind of joy that fills a room — or a backyard, or a banquet hall — when everyone who loves you is finally in the same place at the same time, and they are all there for you.

Uma & Rohan moved through the evening the way people do when they can't quite believe how lucky they are. Laughter spilled out between toasts. Children chased each other through the crowd. And in quiet moments between the celebration, she paused — caught between gratitude and disbelief — and that is exactly where we found her best frames.
